According to Market Report Company, estimated PP consumption in Ukraine in 2008 went up by 6%, compared to 2007, and moved at 112 kt. Domestic output dropped by 11%, and moved at about 84.3 kt.

Output decline in Lisichansk was covered by low exports and increasing imports. Last year’s overall PP imports moved at about 76 kt. The share of Homo was at about 68% of overall imports in 2008. About 47% of overall imports belonged to LyondellBasell’s Homo – 24.4 kt. Imports of Russian PP went down by 27%, to 6 kt.
